Casa Comadre celebrates a deep love of family, community, and culture. Our original designs are rooted in our respective Sicilian and Mexican heritages and are produced locally in San Francisco to support other working artists.
Comadre literally means “co-mother” and refers to the special/unique relationship between a child’s mother and godmother. This is a term that is found in both Spanish and Italian but is absent in English. The practice of comadrazgo, of creating this comadre bond, is how we expand our village and create family.
